The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) role is designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position. The program spans 16 weeks and includes virtual and hands-on training to develop your leadership skills. Support for your growth includes your District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach.

Key skills for this role include:

  3. Merchandising strategies to support sales growth
  4. Store inventory and asset management

Our expectations for SMITs are:

  1. Engage actively with your leader during the program
  2. Support your store as a management team member, aligning with CVS values and policies

  4. Be willing to accept promotion roles within the market

Promotion to Store Manager is not guaranteed and depends on performance and openings. Candidates must be willing to transfer within the market and work flexible schedules.

Minimum requirements include:

  1. High School diploma or GED (required)
  2. Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  3. Retail management experience or CVS supervisory experience
