Essential Duties

The position includes, but is not limited to, the following essential job duties, responsibilities and requirements:

Leadership and Management:
  • Supervise 2 or more full-time employees including Assistant Managers, Lead Representatives, and Customer Service Representatives.
  • Recruit, hire, and train employees to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Manage store cleanliness, stock levels, and organization according to company standards.
  • Maintain a professional and supportive relationship with staff and supervisors.
  • Schedule employees to optimize customer service and store image.
  • Apply non-discriminatory management skills in hiring, training, counseling, and separating employees.
Store Relationships:
  • Develop positive relationships with suppliers.
  • Address customer complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Ensure regular onsite attendance.
  • Promote a safe and positive community image.
Training And Development:
  • Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback.
  • Train employees on customer service, store standards, and safety procedures.
  • Mentor employees on cash handling and risk reduction.
  • Ensure timely completion of all training requirements.
Communications:
  • Ensure effective communication with employees through meetings and updates.
Organizing And Planning:
  • Develop action plans to meet store objectives.
  • Maintain store files and supervise report completion.
  • Ensure merchandise is stocked, displayed, and priced correctly.
  • Post employment posters and signs accessibly.
Financial:
  • Analyze sales and expenses to maximize profits.
  • Manage budgets, merchandise margins, and safeguard cash.
  • Report discrepancies to the Market Manager.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 1-2 years retail experience preferred.
  • Supervisory skills for equipment and staff.
  • Computer skills for report analysis, inventory, and cash control.
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
  • Open availability, English communication skills.
  • Ability to perform physical duties and operate a vehicle.
  • Certifications like ServSafe or Food Safety Management may be required.
Physical Requirements
  • Work at least 50 hours/week, including weekends and holidays.
  • Work in varying temperatures, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks.
  • Stand and walk for long periods, operate equipment, and work alone as needed.
Work Environment
  • Indoor work 95%, outdoor tasks as needed.
  • Exposure to temperature extremes and noise.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
