The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) role is a development-focused position designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager role. The program spans 16 weeks and includes virtual and hands-on learning experiences to develop your leadership skills.

Support from your leadership team, including your District Leader, HR Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach, will guide your growth.

Skills Needed for This Role

• Effective verbal and written communication skills to support and lead your team.
• Customer care skills to provide high levels of service.
• Merchandising skills to support store sales growth.
• Inventory and asset management to maintain profitability.

Promotion to Store Manager depends on performance and available openings. Candidates should:

• Be willing to accept a Store Manager role at any location within the market.
• Be able to transfer to other CVS stores within the market.
• Work a schedule that varies based on business needs.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Have retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree.

Additional Details

Weekly Hours: 45

Time Type: Full time

Pay Range: $18.50 - $28.67 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
