Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to federal and state labor laws and company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provides proper training for employees; conducts performance evaluations; identifies gaps for appropriate solutions and/or counseling, up to termination.
• Makes recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations regularly; coordinates meetings to ensure safety and policy compliance.
• Ensures the store opens and closes as scheduled; maintains staffing during opening and closing windows.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify sales trends, profitability, and inventory control opportunities.
• Orders to meet or exceed in-stock targets; reviews ordering plans and seasonal inventory management.
• Supports staging, stocking and presentation of merchandise according to company standards.
• Maintains accurate inventory levels and cash controls; enforces security procedures.
• Delivers superior customer service leadership and maintains a clean, safe store environment.
