Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store leadership professional to manage daily store operations, staffing, and merchandising. You will lead recruiting, training, and performance management to ensure excellent customer service and compliance with company policies.

The role requires strong inventory control, cash handling, and analytical skills to optimize sales, profitability, and safety. A high school diploma and retail management experience are preferred for this full-time position.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, and retain qualified employees; staff the store.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, and address performance gaps.
• Make pay and advancement recommendations.
• Communicate performance, safety expectations; coordinate meetings.
• Open/close store as scheduled; ensure security and readiness.
• Analyze operating statements for sales and profitability trends.
• Manage ordering and inventory to meet in-stock targets weekly.
• Staging, stocking, and presentation of merchandise per SOPs.
• Maintain accurate inventory; control damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
