Job summary

Maplefields RL Vallee is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily operations across locations in Vermont and adjacent regions. You will supervise staff, manage scheduling, training, and performance, and drive sales and profitability through effective merchandising and customer service.

The role emphasizes staff development, adherence to policies, and maintaining high store standards while coordinating with management to meet business goals. Flexibility and strong leadership are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day store operations including scheduling, training, supervising staff at their designated location.
• Recruit, hire, train and motivate positive individuals to become team members and managers.
• Develop people for key positions including Assistant Manager, Food Service Coordinator, Manager in Training.
• Manage inventory to maximize sales, control costs and reduce waste.
• Oversee cash balancing and accounting procedures.
• Understand store profit drivers and controllable expenses including labor and cash/inventory variances.
• Develop business strategies to increase customer base, store traffic and profitability.
• Meet sales goals by coaching and motivating staff.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
• Provide oversight to ensure policies and procedures are followed and store condition/merchandising standards are maintained.
• Conduct personnel performance appraisals and address training needs.
• Resolve customer complaints professionally with support staff as needed.
• Address staff matters promptly and professionally.
• Implement and enforce daily operating procedures including cleanliness and food safety standards.
• Determine staffing to support a 24/7 operation.
• Adhere to merchandising/vendor policies and ensure displays are attractive and priced correctly.
