Job summary

Turner’s Outdoorsman in Stockton, CA is seeking a Store Manager who will lead the store team, drive sales, ensure customer satisfaction, and uphold the Turner’s brand and culture.

You will supervise staff, manage budgets, schedule shifts, maintain inventory and firearms compliance, and deliver a high-value shopping experience.

Candidates should have at least 2 years in retail supervisory roles, be fluent in English, and be eligible to work in the firearm environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate (or GED) required, college graduate or some college preferred.
• Fluent in English
• Must have at least 2 years of prior retail and sales experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Knowledge about Hunting, Fishing, or Shooting sports is preferred.
• Legally eligible to work in a firearm environment.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Certificate of Eligibility Required
• Must be able to multi-task and work in a face paced environment.
• Requests for time off may or may not be granted during black-out periods.

Responsibilities

• Manages a staff of Assistant Store Managers and non-exempt employees.
• Provides excellent customer service and displays exceptional salesmanship.
• Ensures customers enjoy a full service and high value shopping experience.
• Accounts for budgeted sales by setting daily, weekly and monthly goals while managing labor costs and shrinkage.
• Advertises and promotes Turner’s Outdoorsman products and events.
• Promotes a teaming environment.
• Schedules employee shifts, and break times per laws.
• Distributes work assignments to employees.
• Trains, motivates, supervises and develops employees.
• Responsible for all store operations including cash handling and inventory management.
• Performs other duties including covering breaks in other departments.
