Job summary

You will motivate and train staff, set schedules, manage inventory and loss prevention, and implement in-store promotions while maintaining top presentation standards. The ideal candidate has 1–3+ years of retail management experience and a High School Diploma or GED, along with outstanding communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop business strategies to raise customer pool, expand store traffic, increase basket size and optimize profitability.
• Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to sales staff.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer service.
• Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Maintain outstanding store condition, plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays.
• Upholds Daiso’s standards for display presentation.
• Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths.
• Deal with issues from staff or customers (complaints, grievances, etc).
• Managing the store, both retail and company, inventory, including loss prevention through theft and breakage.
• Training new employees and providing ongoing education for employees.
• Effectively create store schedules to meet customer demand while meeting payroll targets.
• Create employee schedules, assign schedules and responsibilities to associates, checking to see if these assignments are carried through.
• Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, disciplining, and offboarding poor-performing staff.
