Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in staffing, inventory, merchandising and daily store operations. The role is designed to develop external candidates for the Store Manager position and is limited in duration.

You will recruit, stock, supervise staff, ensure accurate cash handling, safety compliance, and customer service leadership while maintaining open communication with the Store Support Center. Travel and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year retail experience preferred for external candidates.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and operating instructions.
• Strong cash handling and deposit controls knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
