Job summary

Staples in Indiana’s Southport area seeks a General Manager to lead a collaborative, inclusive retail culture. You will drive community relationships, merchandise sales, print/marketing services, and business-to-business networks while mentoring a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities include developing a consultative selling environment, driving profitable YOY sales and margins, and ensuring operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 1+ year progressively responsible store management experience in a retail environment.
• Store operations experience with analysis, planning, financial acumen and driving results.
• Experience creating a customer-centric environment and consultative selling.
• Experience developing a team in operational excellence to drive profitable YOY sales and margins.
• Ability to lift/move materials in the 10-50 pound range, climb ladders, stand and walk continuously.
