Job summary

The UPS Store in Salinas is looking for a high-energy Store Manager to lead our team at the Creekbridge Plaza. In this role, you will drive sales, maintain operational excellence, and ensure world-class service to every customer.

Your responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of store operations, leading and training a team, and managing financial performance.

Preferred qualifications include retail management experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2–3 years in retail or hospitality management role.
• Prior experience as a TUPSS Manager or Senior Associate is preferred.
• Must be a commissioned Texas Notary Public or willing to become one.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud is advantageous.
• Spanish preferred for better customer interaction.
• Day shift availability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store daily operations, including opening/closing and inventory management.
• Recruit, train, and schedule associates while coaching on service techniques.
• Act as primary escalation point for complex customer needs.
• Manage store’s P&L and implement strategies to meet sales targets.
• Master POS system and professional print equipment.

Job description

We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Store Manager to lead our team at The UPS Store in the Creekbridge Plaza located in Salinas. As the Store Manager, you will be the heartbeat of the center, responsible for driving sales, maintaining operational excellence, and ensuring every customer receives world-class service.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Operations: Oversee all aspects of the store including opening/closing, inventory management, and maintaining a pristine, organized retail environment.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and schedule a team of associates. Coach staff on service techniques, shipping regulations, and print services.
• Customer Experience: Act as the primary point of escalation for complex customer needs, ensuring a \"solutions-first\" approach to shipping, packing, and printing.
• Financial Oversight: Manage the store’s P&L, monitor labor costs, and implement strategies to hit monthly sales targets and KPIs.
• Technical Expertise: Master the TUPSS Point of Sale (POS) system, shipping software, and professional print equipment (Fiery controllers, wide-format printers, etc.).

Requirements & Qualifications

• Management Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years in a retail or hospitality management role (Required). Management: 3 years (Preferred).
• The UPS Store Experience: Prior experience as a TUPSS Manager or Senior Associate is a huge bonus and will put you at the top of our list.
• Notary Public: Must be a commissioned Texas Notary Public (or be willing/eligible to become one within 90 days of hire).
• Physical Ability: Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for interacting with corporate clients and team members.
• Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign/Illustrator) is a major advantage for our print business.
• Language: Spanish (Preferred).
• Shift Availability: Day Shift (Preferred). Available on weekends if needed.
• Ability to Commute: Salinas, CA 93905 (Preferred).
• Work Location: In person (Salinas, CA).
