Qualifications

  • 3+ years of automotive service advisor/writer experience including store management.
  • Knowledge of automotive service, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Valid state driver's license required.

Job description

Are you an Experienced Automotive Store Manager ready to be responsible for maximizing the efficiency, revenue and productivity of the service department and achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction? Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the service department by managing the schedule and ordering parts
  • Review inspection reports from technicians
  • Manage technician time
  • Maintain a line of communication with the customer regarding the progress/status of their vehicle
  • Support staffing decisions
  • Timecard management
  • Shop engagement and camaraderie

Store Manager is a key contributor to the team, collaborating with vendors, suppliers, and parts departments to improve the overall performance and profitability of the business.

Required

  • High school or equivalent education
  • Three (3) or more years' automotive service advisor/writer experience including store management and supervisory experience
  • Possess a valid state driver's license
  • Knowledge of:
    • Automotive service, maintenance and repairs
    • MS Office products
    • General business acumen and financial reporting
    • Adept at Point of Sale software and computer utilization.
    • ADP Workforce Now experience beneficial
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Retail management including sales management and shift supervision
    • Hire, motivate, train and supervise staff
    • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead a team effectively
    • Manage team productivity and efficiency
    • Proficient in multitasking and prioritizing tasks efficiently
    • Familiarity with cash handling and basic accounting principles
    • Knowledge of inventory control best practices
    • Strong CRM engagement skills
    • Communicate effectively, orally and in writing
    • Honesty and transparency
    • Conflict and problem resolution
    • Willingness to participate in in-house training programs
    • Good driving record
