We believe beauty is about celebrating what makes you unique. No more chasing perfection—it’s about feeling alive in your own skin. If you are passionately curious and welcome what’s next, you are welcome at OLIVE YOUNG.

Come be a part of our story.

About the Role

As an OLIVE YOUNG Store Manager, you are the driving force behind the store and the brand’s success—leading your team, shaping the customer experience, and delivering strong business results. You set the vision, strategy, and standards for the store, ensuring every customer interaction reflects our commitment to healthier beauty.

You own the total store business, using performance insights and business trends to drive sales, achieve key goals, and ensure operational excellence. You build and develop a high-performing team through clear expectations, coaching, and accountability while maintaining strong standards across inventory, operations, and the customer experience.

Success in this role requires strong judgment, adaptability, and a strong sense of ownership. You are comfortable navigating evolving priorities, making sound decisions when a prescribed solution may not be available, and knowing when to act independently, seek partnership, or escalation.

The ideal candidate is a strong retail leader with an understanding of the U.S. beauty market and a passion for established and emerging beauty brands. As OLIVE YOUNG expands its U.S. presence, you will translate company direction into effective store-level execution while helping shape ways of working that support our continued growth.

What You’ll Do

The following duties are considered essential functions of the role, including but not limited to the responsibilities outlined below.

  • Strategic Leadership: Drive sales performance through team leadership by analyzing store performance trends, executing company sales targets through promotions, LSM (store self-promotion), and omnichannel initiatives, and translating performance data into disciplined execution on the sales floor.
  • Financial Accountability: Own store sales and financial outcomes by setting clear sales and profit targets, monitoring key KPIs and budgets, analyzing sales and income statement trends, and managing expenses to optimize performance and reduce risk.
  • Inventory Oversight: Oversee end-to-end store inventory operations, including automatic replenishment and order quantity reviews, tester management, resolution of purchasing issues, misdeliveries, and damaged goods, while ensuring accurate stock flow and organized stockroom operations.
  • Inventory Health: Drive inventory health and product availability by managing responses to out-of-stock items, clearance execution, product disposal, and inventory sell-through.
  • Compliance & Training: Ensure team readiness and compliance by being accountable for all required training so team members can deliver exceptional service, build customer loyalty, and meet all regulatory and company standards.
  • Service Excellence: Oversee end-to-end in-store customer service operations, including sales consultations, transactions and returns, omnichannel service assistance, and the professional resolution of escalated customer complaints and claims.
  • Operational Control: Serve as a keyholder and oversee store opening and closing operations, ensuring procedures are executed in accordance with company manuals, including POS setup, end-of-day processing, and cash-handling controls.
  • Administration: Manage store administrative and compliance tasks, including expense processing, document management, required postings, and adherence to information security guidelines.
  • Facility Safety: Ensure operational safety and continuity by conducting regular system and facility inspections, responding to equipment failures, and managing emergency situations in accordance with company procedures.
  • Workforce Management: Own store staffing and workforce operations by managing schedules, attendance, payroll coordination, staffing plans, and headcount while recruiting, hiring, and onboarding talent aligned with brand values and business needs.
  • Performance Leadership: Lead team performance and development through regular evaluations, competency assessments, coaching and feedback documentation, and management of employee lifecycle processes, including transfers, resignations, and exit interviews.
  • General Oversight: Perform other duties as required to support business needs.
Team & Culture
  • Cultivate the Brand Environment: Foster an environment that reflects the OLIVE YOUNG brand—energetic, fun, and built on trust, respect, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion Store Culture: Promote a strong store culture by leading engagement initiatives, clearly communicating company direction at the team and unit levels, and conducting structured employee check-ins and performance interviews to maintain high morale.
  • Strengthen Organizational Alignment: Partner with HQ and leadership teams to build an inclusive, high-performing, and aligned store environment.
  • Drive Knowledge Leadership: Commit to continuous professional development regarding product innovations, trends, and techniques, and actively mentor the team by sharing industry expertise to fuel collective growth.
  • Uphold Professional Integrity: Safeguard sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of integrity, ensuring that every interaction—whether with customers, staff, or the community—reflects OLIVE YOUNG’s core values of curiosity, inclusivity, and empowerment.

  • Highly adaptable and effective in a dynamic environment where priorities, processes, and business needs may evolve.
  • Comfortable operating with autonomy, taking appropriate initiative while recognizing when partnership or escalation is necessary.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to move from issue identification to practical, well-reasoned solutions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Experience with POS systems, inventory management tools, and reporting platforms.
  • Must be adaptable, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about skincare, cosmetics, and the latest beauty trends.
