Job summary

The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division is seeking a Store Manager to oversee thrift store operations in Fond du Lac, WI. You will supervise staff and volunteers, recruit and train personnel, and ensure merchandise displays attract customers while meeting sales targets.

You will coordinate with Corps Officers, maintain records, handle customer concerns, deposit daily income, and promote the store through social media. Strong leadership and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, interviews and selects candidates for store positions, and makes hiring recommendations. Onboards, trains, supervises, schedules, monitors and evaluates the work performance of the store staff.
• Prepare information for TSAMM entries for employee actions, equipment, and property matters for the store.
• Ensures a clean and inviting store appearance. Displays merchandise to attract positive attention from customers, including seasonal displays.
• Works with Corps Officers to set monthly and annual sales goals; maintains sufficient stock and adjusts merchandise and sales approach to achieve those goals.
• Maintains and reviews accurate records of shift receipts including merchandise categories to identify opportunities to increase profitability.
• Ensures income is deposited daily and ensures cash drawers are reconciled per policy.
• Handles all customer concerns and complaints and communicates these with the Corps Officer.
• Maintains a social media presence to advertise, and engage with the public.
