Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a Store Manager to oversee thrift store operations in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The role includes supervising staff and volunteers, recruiting and training, managing donations, pricing, and ensuring daily cash handling and deposits.

You will work with Corps Officers to set sales goals and maintain stock levels, while promoting the store through social media and ensuring an inviting customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in recruiting, interviewing and hiring store staff.
• Experience supervising and scheduling employees and volunteers.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to handle complaints.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, interviews and selects candidates for store positions, and makes hiring recommendations. Onboards, trains, supervises, schedules, monitors and evaluates the work performance of the store staff.
• Prepare information for TSAMM entries for employee actions, equipment, and property matters for the store.
• Ensures a clean and inviting store appearance. Displays merchandise to attract positive attention from customers, including seasonal displays.
• Works with Corps Officers to set monthly and annual sales goals; maintains sufficient stock and adjusts merchandise and sales approach to achieve those goals.
• Maintains and reviews accurate records of shift receipts including merchandise categories to identify opportunities to increase profitability.
• Ensures income is deposited daily and ensures cash drawers are reconciled per policy.
• Handles all customer concerns and complaints and communicates these with the Corps Officer.
• Maintains a social media presence to advertise, and engage with the public.
