Summary
The primary responsibility of the Store Manager is to lead teams in driving sales, brand loyalty, providing exceptional customer service, as well as recruiting and developing top retail talent. This position has full accountability for the key financial results of the store and is responsible for the overall leadership and development of the store by building an independent, high-performing team that is dedicated to achieving results and supporting company strategies.

Qualifications
- Strong understanding, knowledge, and hands-on experience of all positions within the store
- At least 3 years of experience as a specialty retail store manager in relevant traffic and volume preferred
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, & PowerPoint, with ability to adapt to additional software programs
- Broad knowledge and perspective of the retail landscape
- Availability to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
- Must commit to one store closing per week, either Friday or Saturday
- Ability to utilize retail POS System & Inventory Scanner
- Ability to make change using American Monetary units
- Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex financial reports
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to carry out detailed tasks and projects with minimal supervision
- Problem-solving skills for complex situations, including dealing with difficult clients
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly via letters, memos, and reports
Work Environment
- Ability to lift large and heavy packages and boxes repeatedly throughout a shift
- Reaching overhead, bending, kneeling, and carrying products for customer service and inventory tasks
- Stand/walk for extended periods
- Lift up to 50 lbs without restrictions
- Perform store maintenance tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, and cleaning
- Use and climb ladders or step stools
- Perform repetitive motions like hanging, folding, and ringing up customers
- Handle difficult customers, including houseless and transient individuals, safely and professionally
- Noise level is moderate to loud
- Environment includes adult content
- Must be at least 18 years old
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruit and maintain a diverse, high-performing team through selection, development, and motivation
- Act as a business owner, bringing ideas and solutions to improve the customer experience
- Drive financial results through strategic planning with the Territory Manager
- Manage operational procedures, financial targets, and policy compliance
- Create and manage staff schedules to maximize staffing and profitability
- Coach and develop team members, providing training and performance feedback
- Ensure documentation for HR actions is complete
- Maintain safety standards and OSHA compliance
- Report and log incidents, including Workers Compensation cases
- Design and deliver training programs
- Manage store security and inventory procedures
- Foster a positive work environment and professional team interactions
- Lead store floor sets and visual merchandising efforts
- Ensure adherence to loss prevention policies
- Promote open communication and teamwork
- Represent the company professionally and positively
- Share sales, merchandising, and inventory best practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
