Job summary

TrailersPlus, a Division of Interstate Group in Chattanooga, TN, seeks a driven Store Manager to lead our team at the Chattanooga lot. You will focus on sales, coaching staff, and hands-on operations to meet store goals.

The role offers an hourly base with commission and bonus opportunities, a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, and 401(k). Prior retail management and forklift familiarity are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
• 6–12 months of related retail management, sales, or supervisory experience.

At TrailersPlus, we are looking for a driven, hands-on Store Manager to lead our team at our Chattanooga lot! If you are a sales-focused leader who enjoys coaching a team, working with customers, and getting your hands dirty with tools and equipment, this is the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Sales

• Drive Revenue: Lead the sales effort by matching customers with the right trailers, parts, and service options to hit store goals.
• Team Leadership: Hire, train, motivate, and mentor staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Lead Generation: Actively build local market presence and generate local leads.

Store Operations & Administration

• Oversee daily operations across sales, service, inventory, and vendor relations.
• Reconcile daily financial transactions (cash, credit cards, deposits, financing) and handle accurate customer invoicing and state title paperwork.
• Manage staff schedules, timecards, and routine operational reporting.

Facility & Hands-On Lot Management

• Maintain lot safety, security, and cleanliness (building, shop, and inventory).
• Operate shop equipment as needed to support operations.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6–12 months of related retail management, sales, or supervisory experience.
• Technical & Equipment Ability: Ability to operate a forklift and willingness to learn how to operate; power tools, tractors, and welding tools.
• Sales & Customer Service: Proven track record in closing sales, handling customer service, and diffusing high-pressure situations.
• Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and basic computer/math skills (calculating commissions, percentages, basic algebra).
• Licensing: Ability to obtain required state and city vehicle sales licenses.
• Language: Bilingual in English and Spanish is a major plus!

Physical Requirements & Environment

• Physical Demands: Ability to routinely lift 50–75 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, reach, balance, and climb ladders.
• Work Environment: Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions around mechanical parts and equipment.
