What We're Looking For

GNC's Store Manager in Training (SMIT) position is a development-focused role designed to prepare individuals to manage their own store. Under the leadership of a Store Manager or District Manager, this hands-on program will teach you the skills needed to operate your own store, drive results, and lead your team.

We seek a dynamic individual who embodies GNC's "Live Well" philosophy—living strong, long, and fit. Your understanding of business needs and passion for health and wellness will help you offer tailored, innovative solutions to customers.

What You'll Do

• Engage actively with your leader in training initiatives, projects, and goals to support your promotion during the program.
• Support the shopping experience, including visual and operational elements, sales initiatives, and customer relationships.
• Achieve and exceed personal sales and productivity goals while helping team members realize their sales potential.
• Build strong teams, demonstrate leadership, give feedback, recruit, hire, and manage performance.
• Manage store opening, closing, cash handling, inventory, and deposits per GNC procedures.
• Attend community events to promote the organization's mission.

Performance at the end of 90 days will determine eligibility for promotion to a Store Manager, based on various factors including performance and availability of openings.

Environmental Factors & Working Schedule

• Stand or walk for up to eight hours daily.
• Perform reaching, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 40 pounds occasionally.
• Work in temperatures from 50-85 degrees, especially in stock areas.
• Use a computer up to 60% of the time.

SMITs work five days a week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with specific schedules based on store location.

Additional Details

• Must work during peak business days, including weekends and holidays.
• Downtown SMITs may have different schedules, including lunch hours and fewer weekend requirements.
