Job summary

ShopRite of Sparta, NJ is seeking a Maintenance associate to deliver a great customer experience while performing maintenance and janitorial duties throughout the store to keep premises sanitary and attractive for customers and associates.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for long shifts, and working with others to maintain safety and efficiency. RoNetco NJ manages maintenance in this location, and compensation is hourly.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. regularly and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during routine duties.
• Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to meet time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Empty all trash and recycling containers as prescribed by Store Management.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms including plumbing fixtures.
• Replenish paper and soap supplies in restrooms.
• Clean, mop, sweep, scrub, strip, wax, buff or vacuum floors as directed.
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work/shopping environment.
• Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
