Job summary

belk is seeking a Maintenance and Housekeeping Associate to maintain a clean, safe, and inviting store environment while driving sales and delivering a positive experience for customers and teammates.

The role involves daily cleaning, restocking, restroom maintenance, and supporting store operations during peak periods. It requires a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and physical tasks such as lifting up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ownership and initiative in achieving personal goals, store objectives, and daily priorities.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout all areas of the store by dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, cleaning mirrors, and collecting trash, hangers, and sensor tags.
• Clean restrooms and breakroom thoroughly, sanitizing all surfaces and restocking essential items.
• Replenish supplies at registers, including bags, boxes, and tissue paper and remove unnecessary items.
• Organize and replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies to promote efficiency and ensure ease of access by store team.
• Support store safety by identifying hazards, such as spills, icy sidewalks, and broken glass, and resolving promptly.
• Replace interior and exterior lights, maintaining a well-lit store environment.
• Leverage training tools and feedback to build knowledge of processes and procedures.
• Contribute to a positive store culture by building connections with teammates and celebrating achievements.
• Enhance in-store customer experience by assisting customers and supporting during peak traffic.
