Job summary

Belk is seeking a Maintenance and Housekeeping Associate to uphold a clean, safe, and inviting store environment. The role involves daily cleaning, maintenance tasks, and replenishing supplies as an hourly position.

Responsibilities include restroom and breakroom sanitation, restocking, hazard identification, and supporting safety procedures while staying informed about promotions and store events to assist customers effectively.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ownership in achieving goals and daily priorities.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout all store areas; dust, vacuum, sweep, and collect trash.
• Clean restrooms and breakroom; sanitize surfaces and restock essentials.
• Replenish supplies at registers and organize cleaning materials for efficiency.
• Identify hazards (spills, icy sidewalks, broken glass) and resolve promptly.
• Replace interior and exterior lights to keep store well-lit.
• Learn processes and procedures; stay informed about products, promotions, policies, and events.
• Contribute to a positive culture by sharing knowledge and recognizing teamwork.
• Assist customers and support store during peak times and other duties as assigned.
• Follow asset protection, safety guidelines, and security protocols; minimize risk.
