Job summary

ShopRite is seeking a Maintenance associate for the Village NJ location. You will perform maintenance and janitorial duties throughout the store to keep premises clean and sanitary, ensuring a welcoming environment for customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities include trash removal, restroom sanitation, floor care, stocking, safety compliance, and assisting with store operations as directed by management. Must be able to stand and lift up to 50 lbs and work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Stand/walk for duration of shift.
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally; 25 lbs regularly.
• Tolerate dust and cleaning agents during housekeeping duties.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Adhere to time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash and recycling per Store Management.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms and fixtures.
• Replenish supplies in restrooms.
• Perform floor cleaning and maintenance.
• Keep break areas clean and organized.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and submit requests.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely.
• Follow store rules, safety standards and policies.
• Maintain a clean, neat work environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt assistance.
• Maintain communications with staff and management.
• Work overtime as needed.
