Job summary

Academy Sports + Outdoors in Jefferson City, MO, is seeking a seasoned Logistics Manager to drive the daily store operations, overseeing logistics, receiving, and merchandising with a focus on inventory accuracy, safety, and execution excellence.

You will partner with the Store Director and leadership team to translate strategic goals into in-store actions, balance staffing and payroll, and coach frontline teammates to deliver a seamless shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership or management experience.
• Experience leading departments of up to 40 team members and achieving sales targets.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Ability to interpret operational and financial data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with inventory systems, order processing, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to complete required certifications, including Firearms Sales and Power Industrial Truck.
• Commitment to team development and customer-focused operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day logistics, merchandising, and receiving operations to ensure inventory accuracy and safety.
