Academy Sports + Outdoors is seeking a Store Logistics Manager to drive store operations, lead logistics, merchandising, and receiving teams, and translate corporate strategy into in‑store results.

The role emphasizes inventory flow, safety, and execution excellence, with responsibility for planning, scheduling, payroll, and coaching of a team of up to 40 members in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant leadership or management experience.
• Demonstrated success leading departments of up to 40 team members.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to develop people.
• Solid business acumen with the ability to interpret operational and financial data.
• Experience with inventory systems, order processing, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to complete and maintain required certifications, including Firearms Sales and Power Industrial Truck.
• Comfortably manage and audit firearm sales, ensuring all transactions meet federal and state requirements through ATF Form 4473 checks.

Responsibilities

• Drive the day‑to‑day operational rhythm of the store to support a seamless customer experience.
• Lead logistics, merchandising, and receiving operations with focus on inventory flow, accuracy, safety, and execution excellence.
• Analyze operational performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions that elevate productivity.
• Balance workforce planning, scheduling, training, and payroll while upholding standards.
