Job summary

Academy Sports + Outdoors is hiring a Logistics Manager in Melbourne, FL to lead day-to-day logistics, receiving and merchandising operations. You will drive inventory accuracy, safety and execution excellence, while balancing staffing, training, and payroll to meet sales targets.

Partner with Store Director and teammates to translate strategy into in-store results. The role requires a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with inventory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 3+ years leadership/management experience
• Experience leading departments up to 40 team members while driving ops and sales targets
• Strong leadership, coaching and people-development skills
• Ability to interpret operational and financial data and translate into actions
• Experience with inventory systems and order processing; familiarity with payroll systems

Responsibilities

• Drive day-to-day store operations in logistics, merchandising and receiving with focus on inventory flow, accuracy, safety and execution
• Analyze performance, identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions to boost productivity and efficiency
• Balance workforce planning, scheduling, training and payroll while upholding standards and accountability
• Collaborate with Store Director and leaders to align priorities with business goals; coach team members
• Support audits and improvement initiatives with clear communication and accountability
