Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Humble, Texas.

You will assist with daily functions, organize merchandise, supervise associates, and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read and interpret directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks regularly.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.
• Adhere to store policies and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping.
• Manage payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits and receipts; prevent loss.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked, and presentable; handle general duties as assigned.
