Job summary

Circle K is seeking a Store Manager in Carrboro, NC to lead daily store operations, supervise staff, and ensure outstanding customer service. The role emphasizes fiscal oversight, merchandising, safety and community presence.

You will recruit and train employees, manage scheduling, and develop action plans to meet sales targets while maintaining store standards and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail sales preferred.
• Ability to supervise and train staff for equipment and processes.
• Ability to supervise and manage CSR/ASM duties.
• Strong computer skills for report analysis, inventory and cash control.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• English communication (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire and train employees to provide excellent customer service.
• Manage tasks to keep the site clean, stocked and well kept to standards.
• Maintain professional relations with subordinates and supervisor.
• Schedule employees to maximize service and site image.
• Apply non-discriminatory management practices when hiring and coaching.
• Develop positive supplier relationships and resolve customer complaints promptly.
• Promote a safe, positive image in the community.
• Prepare performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback.
• Train staff on customer service, site image, safety and company standards.
• Communicate effectively with staff and hold regular meetings.
• Plan and organize actions to achieve site objectives and maintain records.
• Ensure merchandise is stocked, displayed and priced correctly.
• Keep employment posters up to date.
• Analyze daily sales and expenses to maximize profitability.

Education
