Job summary

Hannaford is seeking a Management Trainee to run store operations in the absence of the Store Manager and drive financial and sales results. You will build strong associate and customer relations and uphold Hannaford's culture across the organization.

The program prepares future managers with the skills needed to lead a busy retail environment, including scheduling, merchandising, and safety responsibilities. This is a full-time, on-site role based at the Brunswick, ME location.

Qualifications

• College degree or Retail Management work experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of store operations and total store merchandising techniques.
• Effective interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and use technical information to solve problems.
• Ability to work a schedule that meets business needs.
• Accreditation as a Certified Food Safety Manager or ability to obtain within 90 days.
