Job summary

7-Eleven, Inc. in Michigan seeks a Retail Assistant Manager to join the store leadership team. You will work with the Store Leader to supervise staff, coach performance, and ensure exceptional customer service while executing merchandising and marketing programs.

This role emphasizes talent development, retention, and compliance with health and safety standards. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and prior retail management experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required for candidates with retail management experience.
• Ability to oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching alongside the Store Leader for all store employees.
• Demonstrated strength in retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
• Ability to assist in implementing merchandising and marketing programs.
• Proficiency in cash handling, fuel transactions, and promoting the loyalty program.
• Commitment to health and sanitation procedures to keep the store clean, stocked, and presentable.
• Excellent oral and written communication and intrapersonal skills.
• Valid Driver's License from the state of residence and ongoing auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee customer service leadership and coaching with the Store Leader for all staff.
• Assist in implementing merchandising and marketing programs across the store.
• Handle cash and promote our loyalty program while ensuring accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked store compliant with health standards.
• Train and retain staff, focusing on leadership development and productivity.
