Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services in Mount Laurel, NJ, is hiring an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager ensure smooth daily operations and staff development. This entry-level management role offers hands-on training in hospitality leadership at a busy travel plaza.

You will coach teams, uphold brand standards, optimize schedules and cash handling, and drive performance while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate objectives clearly.
• Supervise non-management associates, assign work, coach shifts supervisors, and monitor store operations.
• Be capable of operating in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff and maintain morale during busy or low periods.
• Ensure brand standards, procedures, and cash handling are followed and accurate.
