Job summary

Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay is seeking a Sr. Retail Store Manager in Training (MIT) to rotate through retail operations, learn policies, and develop into a full-time Store Manager. The program emphasizes hands-on leadership, financial discipline, and customer service excellence across multiple store locations.

Upon completion, you will oversee your own store, drive donations, manage payroll and expenses, and contribute to the Goodwill mission of ending unemployment.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience leading 40+ FTEs in a high-volume thrift environment.
• Strong understanding of financial metrics, reporting, and budget management.
• Proven ability to generate revenue and achieve production goals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to pass a background check and speak/read English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes a retail operations plan to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals.
• Maintain annual revenue expectations (e.g., around $2.5M) for the store.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team of Store Associates and team members.
• Monitor donations, inventory, and workflow to optimize sales and budget targets.
• Ensure excellent customer service and adherence to Goodwill brand standards.
• Collaborate with district leadership to implement strategic initiatives and staffing.
