Job summary

Meijer Inc. offers an 11-week Store Leadership Internship designed to develop retail leaders. Interns engage in challenging projects, final presentations to executives, and executive speaker series while gaining broad exposure across store operations.

Participants will be mentored by leaders, pursue professional development, and participate in leadership rotations. High performers may transition into full-time roles with paths toward senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program seeking future leadership careers in retail.
• Ability to work flexible shifts to gain exposure to the full operation of the store.
• Prior experience in retail is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet sales goals and deliver excellent customer service.
• Ensure a positive company image through courteous, friendly service and strong teamwork.
• Support department in achieving sales, controlling shrink, and managing the P&L.
• Contribute to leadership development through training and feedback.
