J.Crew is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our store leadership team. You’ll drive profitability through genuine customer connections, brand loyalty, and strong community engagement, while coaching the sales team for peak performance.

In partnership with the Store Director, you will oversee operations, recruit and train staff, and ensure best-in-class service. Flexible scheduling and a readiness to step into different roles on the sales floor are required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail management experience with similar scope.
• Passion for the brand, customers, and teams.
• Ability to stay up-to-date with current fashion trends.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Director & Associate Store Manager to impact business results while maximizing profitability.
• Own designated division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Manage store operations, systems, and technology with accountability.
• Recruiting, training and development support when needed.
• Foster a collaborative working environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team exceeds goals and provides best-in-class customer service.
• Lead fit sessions to boost product knowledge for associates.
• Develop innovative ways to engage the community and build loyalty through events.
• Can step into a variety of roles on the sales floor.
