Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop the store team. The role involves assisting with day-to-day activities, organizing merchandise, and ensuring compliance with company directives.

The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 55 lbs, and contribute to a positive, safe, and welcoming store atmosphere while supporting the Store Manager and associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Assist in organizing merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Adhere to corporate directives and maintain store displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety; supervise and develop store associates as needed.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
