Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager who will oversee the effective planning and execution of store processes including ordering, receiving, stocking, merchandising and staffing. You will lead recruiting, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to ensure service excellence.

You will manage daily operations, control inventory and cash processes, and uphold safety and security standards while maintaining an engaging, well-organized shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Ability to read and follow work procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees; ensure store is adequately staffed.
• Provide training, evaluate performance, and address gaps with solutions.
• Open/close the store consistently and supervise daily operations.
• Control inventory, pricing, presentation and signage according to policy.
• Maintain cash accountability, key control, and store security practices.
• Deliver superior customer service and maintain a clean, safe store.
