Job summary

The role emphasizes managing inventory, cash controls, customer service leadership, and store presentation while maintaining adherence to corporate procedures and labor laws. Prior experience in retail management is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret documents including safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including deposits and cashier accountability.
• Experience with IBM cash registers and generating reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Interpersonal skills for training and coaching staff.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination processes (legal compliance).
• Understanding cash, facility and safety control policies (deposits, keys, SAFE program).
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to solve problems with limited standardization.
• Some locations may prefer bilingual Spanish speakers.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and staff the store per policy.
• Provide training and conduct performance evaluations; counsel or terminate as needed.
• Make recommendations on pay rates and advancement.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; lead meetings and events.
• Ensure proper opening and closing of the store.
