Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide proper training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps for counseling or termination.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Open and close the store as required, ensuring proper coverage.
• Monitor sales, profitability and inventory to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure merchandise is presented and priced according to standards; manage stock and signage.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and cashier accountability; follow security procedures.
• Provide superior customer service leadership and maintain a safe shopping environment.
