Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and inventory practices.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide proper training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; address gaps and counseling up to termination.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events to ensure safety and policies.
• Open/close the store as required; ensure daily operations run smoothly.
• Evaluate operating statements to identify trends, expenses and opportunities.
• Review ordering plans and inventory to meet in-stock targets weekly.
• Stage and stock merchandise following defined processes.
• Ensure merchandise is presented per standards with pricing and signage.
• Maintain accurate inventory and cash controls.
