Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead all store operations in alignment with company policies. You will oversee ordering, receiving, stocking, merchandising, and customer service while ensuring staff are trained and compliant with labor laws.

The role requires managing performance, scheduling, and daily financials, with a focus on safety, efficiency and strong customer service. High school diploma is preferred and prior retail management experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.

Responsibilities

• Manage all employees in planning and implementing store processes: ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, selling, staffing and support.
• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and company policies; ensure staffing levels.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and address gaps with appropriate solutions.
• Ensure store is staffed, opened and closed properly at least twice weekly.
• Monitor operating statements for sales, profitability, and inventory issues; manage shrink and errors.
