Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a fast-paced retail environment. You will assist with daily activities, organize merchandise flow, and help sustain a high level of customer satisfaction.

The role requires effective communication, leadership, and the ability to manage open/close procedures while maintaining store standards and safety. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Katy, TX.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize merchandise transfer from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Support payroll, scheduling, and cash handling tasks.
• Train and develop Store Associates and supervise when needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
• Protect company assets and adhere to policies.
