Job summary

Carhartt, Inc. is hiring for an on-site retail leadership role in Michigan. You will manage store operations, drive consumer experiences and profitability, and lead a team through coaching and development. The role emphasizes merchandising, staffing and community engagement to build the Carhartt brand locally.

You will work with district leadership, oversee budgeting, and ensure standards while traveling up to 20% as needed. FLSA exempt, with strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years in retail management; store manager experience preferred.
• Experience in sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, budgeting and loss prevention.
• Experience in staffing, coaching, counseling, training and development.
• Excellent organization, prioritization and communication skills.
• Exceptional team and collaboration skills.
• PC skills: POS Systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate an environment focused on delivering exceptional consumer experiences.
• Translate the Carhartt story at store level by executing consumer experience initiatives, Visual Merchandising and Visual Standards.
• Lead Associate Engagement by fostering a positive, collaborative team environment.
• Develop, train, coach and provide feedback to leaders and associates.
• Analyze local market trends and data related to operations, product mix, competition and events.
• Develop and execute revenue-building strategies to meet store goals and metrics.
• Collaborate with internal partners to ensure store controls and operating standards, profitability and safety.
• Develop external partnerships for store benefit.
• Engage with local community to grow brand awareness through events and volunteer opportunities.
• Develop and implement proactive recruitment strategies for year-round staffing.
