Job summary

Family Dollar in Gautier, MS is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, support customer service, and develop a stable team. You will assist with open/close procedures, merchandising, and loss prevention to ensure store standards.

You will train and supervise Store Associates, maintain a clean, safe environment, and adapt to evolving directives. This role is part-time and requires strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills to deliver friendly,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and required for operation and directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Assist in merchandising and stocking from delivery to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives, maintain displays, and ensure seasonal areas are maintained.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged goods, and record-keeping.
• Maintain a well-stocked floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and restocking in bathrooms and floors; manage trash and neatness.
