Job summary

Dollar Tree in Winchester, VA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. The role involves supporting day-to-day activities, merchandising, and compliance with company policies.

You will assist in training and supervising store associates, maintain a clean, safe store, and ensure a positive customer experience in a fast-paced environment. On-site position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and required to interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and maintain store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handle damaged items, and manage records.
• Maintain tidy, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Ensure policy compliance and safe, respectful environment.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop associates.
• Keep store clean, restocked, and presentable; assist with bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
