Job summary

Discount Tire is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Grand Forks to lead a team of 4-5 technicians and deliver safe, high-quality tire services. You will coach staff, manage daily operations, and ensure a welcoming customer experience while promoting a promote-from-within culture.

In this hands-on role, you’ll set the pace, oversee inventory, schedule shifts, and help customers understand options. A high school diploma and valid driver's license are required; we train for growth.

Qualifications

• Team-oriented leader capable of coaching a 4-5 technician team.
• Calm under pressure with a positive can-do attitude.
• Willingness to work hands-on in a tire service environment.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Busting tires: Install, rotate, balance, repair, and clean tires and wheels
• Coaching a team: Train, mentor, and coach a team of 4-5 technicians
• Managing: Organize new and existing inventory of tires, wheels, wiper blades, and lug nuts
• Delighting customers: Providing an inviting, easy, and safe customer experience
• Growing: Learn by doing with hands-on, on-the-job training and development
