You will supervise daily operations, coach associates, ensure safety, and execute merchandising and labor plans while upholding Kroger’s core values. In this role you will analyze performance metrics, manage budgets, build relationships with local communities and unions if applicable, and step in during the store manager’s absence.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience as department manager, service manager, or equivalent.
• Experience leading and developing associates to meet customer service, operational, and business goals.
• Experience using KPIs to identify opportunities and support decisions.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and influence others.
• Proven success driving customer experience and sales growth.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and lead through change.
• Track record of improving store performance across multiple areas.

• Assist store manager in delivering a superior customer shopping experience.
• Lead merchandising and operating initiatives with department heads.
• Develop action plans based on associate feedback for performance improvements.

• Help meet weekly and annual sales, wage, and profit budgets.
• Drive sales by maximizing department profitability and reducing shrink.
• Participate in budgets and financial discussions with associates.
• Communicate effectively with district managers and coordinators.
• Develop leadership bench strength and future talent.
• Supervise and coach direct reports; conduct performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and enterprise policies.
• Promote adoption of technology solutions to improve operations.
• Build relationships with local community organizations and unions as needed.
