Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents; basic math and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide proper training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps for solutions or counseling.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Open and close the store at least twice per week; ensure it is properly staffed.
• Evaluate operating statements to identify trends, expenses and errors.
• Order to meet in-stock targets; manage replenishment and cycle counts.
• Staging, stocking and storage of merchandise following company processes.
• Present merchandise according to established practices with pricing and signage.
• Maintain inventory levels and cash controls; ensure security practices.
