Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, customer-first store under the Store Manager’s direction. You will supervise staff, manage merchandise, handle deposits, and ensure store policies are followed to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Open/close the store at least two days weekly, coach team members, conduct safety meetings, and support planograms and inventory control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of retail experience and six months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service leadership; greet customers and operate the register.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist in scheduling staff and training employees; lead safety meetings.
• Manage merchandise flow: receiving, stocking, and displays.
• Maintain accurate inventory and cash handling controls.
