Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of West Virginia LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Morgantown, WV to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. You’ll assist with day-to-day activities, supervise associates, and ensure merchandize is well stocked and displays are maintained.

You’ll open and close the store, process directives, manage scheduling, and support loss prevention while delivering a positive, safe shopping experience for customers and building a strong team.

Qualifications

• Reading, interpreting, and explaining operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent standing, walking, stooping, and bending.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Maintain and organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Open and close procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefronts.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, record keeping (scheduling, payroll, cash deposits), and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Provide a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
