Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to direct all store processes and drive sales, efficiency, and customer service.

You will lead a team of about ten department managers and receivers, ensuring safety, labeling, and compliance while maintaining high standards in perishable and non-perishable areas. The role requires 1–3 years of retail experience, strong communication and leadership skills, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business management or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of retail experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Proven success leading both perishable and non-perishable operations with P&L, safety, staffing, and training responsibilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic HR software; flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Safety certification and ability to lift 60 pounds are required.

Responsibilities

• Direct all store processes and drive sales, efficiency, and customer service.
• Lead a team of approximately ten department managers and receivers with integrity and care.
• Maintain safety and food safety compliance; manage inventory and labor costs for targets.
• Provide training, feedback, and performance management; oversee emergencies and issues with urgency.
• Oversee merchandising, pricing, and in-store displays; ensure accurate labeling and pricing.
