Job summary

Family Dollar in Fort Worth, TX seeks an Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, deliver outstanding customer service, and mentor team members to perform at their best.

You will assist with inventory, merchandising, scheduling, payroll, and cash handling, while enforcing company policies and safety standards to maintain a clean, welcoming, and secure shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities.
• Provide customer service and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise transfer from delivery to stockroom and floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts; participate in loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect company assets and enforce safety/compliance policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
